I started this blog in my few days in Chicago before my adventure to Japan for the spring semester in 2014 at OGU, with the hopes that I would dutifully document my stories so that I may share with family, friends, and anyone else who might stumble across this page.

Leaving for Korea

Before leaving Japan for Korea, I had omu rice/curry and salad with Masako-san at Terminal 2 of Kansai International Airport! It was delicious, nice to have her company (and help with cancelling residency and bank stuff), and great to finally be allowed to pay for a meal for the two of us! ;)

Adventure at a Japanese Curry Restaurant

Shaun wanted Japanese curry, so we went to the place right next to our subway station exit. I probably insulted the cook (it was a one-man show) when I asked if there was any not-spicy curry. I was literally swallowing my words later with the "regular spicy" curry, which had both Shaun and me conserving our rice and breathing through pinched throats later. They both tasted excellent however, so no complaints here!

Vegetable Curry (Shaun's choice)

Beef Curry with Shredded Leeks (My choice)

Shaun trying to figure out how we're going to eat this.
